                Whereas, not enough younger and emerging preachers are not given many opportunities to speak and teach,

                Whereas, more of the people “in the streets” should be helped in the churches of Christ than are currently (the “least of these”),

Whereas, the “status quo” has caused the Church to be divided by race and political party,

Whereas, these divisions have stymied true and genuine growth in the Church, both numerically and spiritually,

Whereas, we do not act as if the LORD will help us succeed in our evangelistic activities,

Whereas, we are not doing enough of evangelism period,

Whereas, if the churches of Christ need a wake up call in order to grow and not become extinct,

I, James Edward Lauderdale, Jr., do hereby declare the beginnings of the 11^th Avenue Church of Christ. Not to be confused with the 11^th Street congregation in East Nashville, this North Nashville congregation is at the heart of an impoverished community. Destroyed by the interstate system, this community is looking for a way out of this vicious cycle. Since Jesus is the Way to the Father in Heaven, it is imperative that the Church becomes involved with this struggle.

Working to end sex trafficking in North Nashville, as well as bring awareness to the issue.

Food and clothing programs, job training and readiness programs

High school equivalency help.

Tutoring (tutors will be given a stipend, and some food will be provided on site)

Religious dialogues with those outside the Church

Daily Bible study
